Nice to meet you! My name is Mallory. I’m a southern California native who currently lives in Denver, Colorado. You could say I’m seriously passionate about planning epic trips, and passing that knowledge along to fellow travelers.
I found myself seeking out unique adventures right after high school, and haven’t looked back. Since I’d find myself traveling to more off-the-beaten path places, I always had friends and family asking for advice on where to go to next. Thus, What a Lovely Place, was born.
It all really started when I went abroad to Sevilla, Spain to study abroad and I started to crave traveling more and more. My now husband, Tobin, now joins me on most adventures, so you’ll see him around the blog as well. My family is in the travel business, my great grandpa started a travel agency in the 1920’s, so you could say seeing the world runs in my blood. I’ve traveled to about 35 countries so far, so this is only the beginning.
What kind of traveling do I like to do? I’m a mid-range budget (to budget), adventure junkie. With this blog, and in life, I want to get people to get out of their comfort zones only slightly. Jump on that plane, and have an experience you never could have imagined. My goal is to be honest about my travel experience and to try to set expectations, so you can have the best time possible. I’m all about sharing the ups and downs, since there’s always hiccups along the way, and that’s what makes traveling so exciting.
When I’m not traveling, I’m a digital marketer. I also run a micro-flower farm called The Fluffy Flower Farm, and I love to get outdoors as often as possible – camping, hiking, biking, snowboarding, you name it. You’ll also find a lot of my travels involve seeking out animals, I love animals dearly and seeing unique ones in the wild.
Follow along and please reach out with any questions! I’m here to help you plan your next adventure.
